No camping outside the Capitol; permits required for rallies, marches
New rules for the Capitol grounds, require permits. I think this is another smoke screen by the Dept of Administration (which is losing 75 jobs in the bill). Our fight is not about the Capitol, it's about workers' rights and the bombarding of Wisconsin social services back into the stone age. Yes, it's our constitutional right to be in the Capitol, but don't let that cloud our message. We need to be heard inside, outside, on Facebook, on Twitter, in every blog, in the news, when we talk to our neighbors and friends, when we write to our representatives. No matter what physical space we occupy, we are still the voice of Wisconsin. You can be annoyed, but don't be distracted from the cause, please. Workers' rights and the social progress of Wisconsin.

Privatize assistance programs? I don't think so
Local officials say Walker plan to privatize assistance programs will hurt poor families. Private corporations work for their profits, not the people's interest. What makes you, Gov Walker, think that this would be any different? Oh wait...

Labor Organizing Jumps in the Wake of Wisconsin | FDL News Desk
Unionizing has never been so popular. The massive amount of exposure unions have had in the last three weeks has educated the population to the history and benefits unions have provided this country. Weekends, safe working conditions, meal breaks, vacation time, medical leave, 40 hr work week, overtime pay, etc, are all things unions have fought for through out history, and things we take for granted. Fire Dog Lake explains more in thisarticle.

Clean up damages exagerated
Seven million dollars is a bit much for cleaning the Capitol. Heck, if they had just asked us to take down signs for a day, we would have voluntarily. But DOA is claiming damage from the blue masking tape they asked us to use to post our signs. I wonder how 3M feels about this accusation.

Judge orders Capitol restrictions lifted but bars overnight stays
This whole fiasco of locking the Capitol is a fake out by Walker. You can be upset about it, just understand he's trying to distract from the real issue, which is his horrific budget bill. No mater where we are, inside, outside, in the rotunda, on the street, we are still Wisconsin and we're not going away. With all this childish door-locking, snow fencing and what not, we need to stay on message. The building doesn't matter. What matters is Walker trying to destroy unions, health care, the UW system, child protective services, recycling, the list goes on. More here.

Walker's bill attacks women's health care
If you are a mother, a daughter, a father who has a daughter, in fact, if you have any compassion or respect for women, you ought to be aware that Walker's bill repeals state law that requires insurance companies to cover birth control pills and eliminates title V, the family planning waiver. This will affect over 52,000 Wisconsin women. You probably know a woman who will be affected by this part of the bill. Read more here.
The next play in the GOP Senators' game of lunch money
The GOP Senators have been acting like babies. They can't get what they want (the Dems to come back) so they say, neener neener neener, and withhold pay checks. They revoke copier privileges of the Dems' staffers. They revoke parking spaces. One day, this will return to bite them in the behind. Until then, Sen. Jon Erpenbach has this to say.
