This is the email response to an email I sent 3M regarding their blue painters tape, the same tape recommended by the DoA to protesters to use for posting in the Capitol building:

Tape. We appreciate hearing from you.
The Scotch-Blue(TM) Painter’s Masking Tape for Multi-Surfaces #2090 and the
Scotch-Blue(TM) Advanced Multi-Surface Painter’s Masking Tape with
Edge-Lock #2093 can be used on marble and granite. We would not expect any
adverse affects on such surfaces, as long as the tape is removed within the
14 day clean removal time stated on the packaging.
